David Boreanaz.

david picture 1While relatively new to the world of acting when he landed a guest-starring role on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, David Boreanaz catapulted to stardom with his quiet intensity as the mysterious and tortured Angel and ultimately landed his own series. Over his most recent summer hiatus, Boreanaz completed production on the big-screen romantic comedy I'm With Lucy co-starring with Monica Potter, Henry Thomas and Anthony LaPaglia.

A native of Philadelphia, Pa., Boreanaz was exposed to television at a young age - his father is a veteran weather forecaster for WPVI in Philadelphia. After graduating from Ithaca College, he moved to Los Angeles to try his luck in Hollywood.

While studying the craft of acting, Boreanaz lived the life of a starving actor, making ends meet by parking cars, painting houses and handing out towels at a sports club. Yet, it was while walking his dog in a Hollywood neighborhood that a manager spotted his brooding, intense look and instantly signed him as a client. His first big break was a guest spot on Married... with Children playing Kelly Bundy's (Christina Applegate) biker boyfriend.

Boreanaz starred in the Warner Bros. thriller film Valentine as a college nerd who is the victim of a vicious practical joke by four women. More than 10 years later, he is handsome, charismatic, successful and seeking vengeance. On stage, Boreanaz has performed at the Ensemble Theatre in Hat Full of Rain, at the Gardner Stage in Italian-American Reconciliation and Fool for Love, and on theatre row in Cowboy Mouth. His feature film credits include Aspen Extreme, Best of the Best 2 and Eyes of the World.

Boreanaz will always be better known as Angel, the vampire with a soul whom he has played for eight years, starring in the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer and then his own show, Angel.

Throughout his glorious years in the role, David has been presented many david picture 2challenges ranging from playing the vampire with a soul and champion, to the evil and sadistic alter-ego, Angelus. Whichever role he presented to the fans, they still loved him probably due to the fact that he was responsible for possibly the greatest love story ever told; the forbidden love of vampire and Slayer.

In season five, Boreanaz was given the opportunity to play a part behind the camera when he was asked to direct the episode “Soul Purpose”. Despite the season being the last, fans hope to see Boreanaz reprise his role of Angel in the future.

Boreanaz has recently landed the lead role in the romantic comedy “Mr Fix It”, which tells the story of a Casanova-type character who dates women in order to make them go back to their ex-boyfriends. The plot takes a twist when he falls in love with one of the women.

An avid golfer and traveller, Boreanaz currently lives in Los Angeles, California, with his wife Jaime Bergman and son, Jaden.
