Shannen then went on to star in the series "Our House" with Wilfred Brimley and Deidre Hall, and in "beverly Hills, 90210," she played the Minneapolis transplant and teenage twin sister of Brandon Walsh (Jason Priestly) on the popular Aaron Spelling drama from 1990 to 1994. Moving effortlessly between television and film, Shannen starred with Cristian Slater and Winona Ryder in the 1989 black comedy "Heathers," which became a big success. Other films she done are teen comedy "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" with Helen Hunt and Sarah Jessica Parker, Ron Howard's "Night Shift," and "Mall Rats," directed by Kevin Smith. Shannen had also won rave reviews for her performance as the famous "Gone With the Wind" authir in the television movie "A Burning Passion: The Margaret Mitchell Story," and she starred opposite Antonio Sabato Jr. in the showtime original film "Jailbreakers," directed by William Friedkin.
